SQRT function Oracle

SQRT returns square root of the number. It is also a numeric function

Syntax :-

SQRT(n)

Examples :-

SQL> select sqrt(4) from dual;

SQRT(4)
———-
2

SQL> select sqrt(2.2) from dual;

SQRT(2.2)
———-
1.4832397

SQL> select sqrt(0) from dual;

SQRT(0)
———-
0

SQL> select sqrt(1) from dual;

SQRT(1)
———-
1
